SELF Conference

HBCSE organized an international conference on “Science, Education and Learning in Freedom” on February 2, 2007 at TIFR.

The SELF Conference was innaugurated by Prof. Arvind Kumar, Centre Director, HBCSE. The conference was focussed on four themes—(i) Launching of the Community Portal—Gnowledge.org; (ii) Introduction to SELF: Science, Education and Learning in Freedom; (iii) CopyLeft in Science, Education and Culture; (iv) Protecting Knowledge: Open Standards and Copyleft. Each theme included panel discussions on the related topics.

The conference was attended by staff members of HBCSE & TIFR; students and teachers from various colleges, people from different movements.
